KOHNEECHIWA!

I've been taking some Japanese lessons after work lately. It's been interestingly fun. Now I somehow now what other people are trying to tell me. Sort of. I think I'll get a hang of the language. It has only been a few months since I got here. I thought it's about time I start working on my Japanese tongue.

I need to practice though. So forgive me if I just start talking in a strange tongue here. Not that my Italian is bad enough.

[Trattoria]

Well, with the cheese crisis over, I'm happy to say, we're getting back in the swing of things, aren't we?

Summer's almost arriving and I'm not familiar how Japanese people enjoy their summer. I was wondering we could pool some ideas on what special service we can offer our clients. It could be fun if we give them something special for the summer!

I know this came in too late, but finally we have cheese! I don't think the kitchen staff would be able to use it for the rest of the orders tonight so I'll just put this in the pantry.

Due to current circumstances and conditions, I've placed a new double deadbolt lock at the pantry door. It's kind of nifty since it automatically locks once the door is closed. So unless you have the key, you can't come in. Only the chef, the sous-chef, and myself have keys to this this pantry. I doubt any one of our waitstaff would have a need for this.

I've managed to get us enough cheese for the week but I've already placed orders in Italy to get more. They'll be arriving next week. Please keep note of the delivery, Erza.

I'd like to give my thanks to the waiters and the chefs for their hard work through this tough time. I can imagine how hard it is to sway our customers from not ordering almost half of our menu. Terribly sorry for the trouble. Same goes to the kitchen staff. You did an admirable thing today. And I'm so happy you gave your all to keep the restaurant running.

Ebi-chan, I hope you have learned your lesson after this. And thanks for cleaning my office. It's spotless.

[ooc: Alright, event is somewhat over. We'll keep the log ongoing at least until the customers got their fill of non-cheesy treats. SO GO! LOG AWAY! T3T) And yes, we're still not going to serve cheese even Dino has the cheese. It's already being stocked for the next day and currently, Dino's busy in fixing the door.]

Today's been a tiring day. I've met some interesting personalities and I'd like to express my gratitude to Mr. Kawakami and his... manager. Thank you for help. I believe Trattoria Cavallone is truly indebted to your aid during our time of need.

Somewhere during this chaos, I lost quite a valuable item. Well, I'd like to think that it's no longer valuable to me when I lost it. It... really isn't, now. It's just a bottle of wine with great vintage. There's... nothing to it. Really.

I just hope that its new owner will enjoy that bottle. Ah~ and here I was hoping to share it with Kyo... someone important to me.

Kyouya, a word?

EMERGENCY CONFERENCE EVERYONE!!!

It seems that Ebi-chan lost control over the cheese. Please, don't try to kill her. She's losing a lot more liquids than what a real hamster should in my office now. I believe she's expressed enough regret and is deeply sorry for what she's done.

The dinner set won't be available in the next four hours. With all the cheese in the pantry gone, do we have some leftover cheese in the kitchen? Those that has been grated earlier during the lunch serving is it enough for the evening? I want a report on what's available and how we can push items while we procure our set of cheeses. This won't be easy, but we'll make with what we have in the mean time.

I'll be going out of the restaurant to buy some cheese. It's going to be a lot and I'll need some help, preferably someone from the waiting staff. And preferably NOT EBICHU.

Switch, can you look at our accounting how much money we have left and if we can at least get around 50,000 Yen for our cheese tonight. I'll make the run.

Sanji, Erza, and Shinji. Can you look at a change of menu tonight? Try to think of cheese substitutes or at least make the customers think that their food has cheese on it. This means taking out our cheese sampler out of the menu.

Kuroro, please inform the waiters to try to sway customers from getting cheesy things until I return from my cheese run. Hopefully we'll be back before the dinner crowd comes in. If not, please encourage them to try other dishes.

Bartenders, without the cheese sampler, our wine sampling might be greatly reduced. Please try to find other wine matchings with the food that we have to offer.

Ebichu, please stay in my office and keep out of the pantry.

[ooc: Yes, this is a Trattoria Cavallone event! You can write logs about this and or you can respond with your journals as well! But I expect that we will make it through this sudden cheesy tragedy. T^T) EBICHU! IF DINO WASN'T A GOOD GUY! YOU'RE DEAD! I SWEAR!!!]

Alright, it seems that this weekend came without a hitch. The little pork scare is making our customers think twice on our pork dishes but with the help of our talented chefs and waiting staff, we made it through without putting our ingredients to waste. Thanks a lot for your hard work everyone!

On the other end of things, it has come to my attention that our waiters have been catching the attention of our customers really well. I'm pleased that some of you are bringing out your talents for this restaurant. As long as you're not breaking things, you can charm our customers until desert!

Make it work! It won't be long 'til we get our Michelin!

Uhmm... Kyouya. I forgot to ask last night, but I got this notice from the neighborhood association at Rue Bourdain and I can't read it since it's in Japanese. Can you uhmm... help me?

Good job in pushing my mother's beloved octopus stew!

I honestly didn't expect the good sales but last night's numbers just really went off the roof. Buonissimo!! You really are an amazing staff and I can't ask for anyone better. Let's do our best for the next few days, alright?

Which reminds me, about that A(H1N1) influenza, perhaps we can push for more seafoods for the next few weeks.

Switch, would you do me a favor and study the trend of orders for the next few days. See what the people are eating instead of pork. Perhaps we can cut cost on meats and push more seafood. Hopefully our guests don't get tired of it.

Bartenders, how did the wines go? Did we get some ladies tipsy tonight? Push for our table wines, alright!

I was calling you earlier but you didn't pick up and I just wanted to inform you that I'm gonna be home late tonight. Don't wait up for me.
